Origin
The Philodendron scandens 'Brasil', commonly known as the Philodendron 'Brasil', originally comes from Central and South America. This elegant green plant is a member of the Araceae family. Due to its exotic origin, the plant is accustomed to warm, humid conditions.

Characteristics
The Philodendron scandens 'Brasil' is notable for its colourful, heart-shaped leaves. What's striking about this species is the variation of colours, with shades ranging from light green to deep green and yellow stripes. The plant grows in a hanging form, making it an ideal candidate for hanging planters. Moreover, given the right conditions, the Philodendron 'Brasil' can grow rapidly.

Care
The care for this Philodendron is relatively simple. The plant prefers a location with light to partial shade. Direct sunlight is discouraged as this can cause leaf burn. The plant requires regular watering, but it's important to ensure that the soil can dry in between waterings to prevent root rot. Lastly, the plant thrives best at regular room temperature and high humidity, akin to its tropical origin. If the air in your room feels dry to touch your plant will benefit from regularly spraying and misting the leaves.
