Planting System
This plant display is made up with a pot plant, filled with Vulkastrat and is equipped with a waterlevel indicator. Vulkastrat absorbs more water than regular soil and releases it gradually to the roots. Vulkastrat cannot shrink shut due to its coarse structure, which keeps the soil more airy and allows the roots to absorb enough oxygen.

Origin
The Schefflera arboricola 'Gold Capella' originally comes from Taiwan and New Guinea. This subtropical plant can mainly be found in rainforests and higher sandy areas. It belongs to the Araliaceae family and is also known as the Dwarf Umbrella Tree.

Characteristics
The Schefflera arboricola 'Gold Capella' is easily recognisable by its shiny, palmately compound leaf that usually contains various shades of green and yellow. This variation in colour makes this plant unique within its species. The 'Gold Capella' grows in a bushy manner and can reach a height of approximately 4 meters, although it usually stays smaller in the living room. Its striking leaf pattern makes it a popular pot plant.

Care
It is important for the care of the Schefflera arboricola 'Gold Capella' that the plant is placed in a light, warm spot, but not in direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn. In addition, it is essential to allow the soil to dry out slightly between two watering sessions. This plant also has high humidity requirements, so regular spraying is recommended. Improper care can lead to leaf loss.
