Planting System
This plant display is made up with a pot plant, filled with Vulkastrat and is equipped with a waterlevel indicator. Vulkastrat absorbs more water than regular soil and releases it gradually to the roots. Vulkastrat cannot shrink shut due to its coarse structure, which keeps the soil more airy and allows the roots to absorb enough oxygen.

Origin
The Dieffenbachia seguine originates from the tropical rainforests of South America, particularly in Brazil. The plant belongs to the family of Araceae, and therefore has many related species. It was named after Ernst Dieffenbach, a German naturalist.

Characteristics
The Dieffenbachia seguine 'Maroba' is a striking green houseplant with large, shiny leaves. The leaf patterns vary in colour from light green to dark green. This plant can grow up to 2 meters in height. The Dieffenbachia seguine 'Maroba' is characterised by its compact growth, resulting in the plant growing more in width than in height.

Care
The Dieffenbachia requires a light location, but not direct sunlight. Furthermore, this plant loves high humidity, so regular spraying with water is recommended. In addition, the potting soil must always be slightly moist, but without the plant sitting in water with its roots. Lastly, it is beneficial to fertilise during the growing season of Spring and Summer
