Origin
The Araucaria heterophylla, or Norfolk Island pine, originates from Norfolk Island, a small island located between Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia. The island is unique in its ecology, with a relatively large number of plants and animals that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The Araucaria heterophylla is one of the most famous and distinctive among these.

Characteristics
The Araucaria heterophylla is an evergreen tree with characteristic sharply pointed leaves. The plant is conical in shape, with branches that extend almost horizontally from the trunk. The tree can reach up to 65 meters in height in its natural environment and the crown is dense and symmetrical. The bark is prominent and has a dark grey colour, and the male and female cones are found on different trees.

Care
The Norfolk Island Pine required bright, indirect light. Water often to keep the soil consistently moist but err on the side of caution to avoid root rot, this tree is drought-tolerant. We recommend rotating the plant regularly for even growth. Additionally, repotting every few years is recommended to sustain optimal health and vigor.
