Origin
The Crassula ovata originates from South Africa and belongs to the succulent family Crassulaceae. This plant species has adapted to its dry, rocky origin, efficiently storing water in its fleshy leaves and stems.

Characteristics
The Crassula ovata is characterised by its unusual leaf shape; these are tubular and curled at the ends, almost like small green doughnuts. The plant can grow up to about 1 metre tall. Each year in late winter or early spring, this plant produces pink or white, star-shaped flowers.

Care
The Crassula ovata needs full sun or partial shade. Direct sunlight can be damaging during the hottest hours of the day, so a spot with morning sun is ideal. During the summer months, the plant needs regular watering and in the winter months, it is advisable to reduce watering. The Crassula ovata is easy to care for and has no specific nutritional requirements, making the plant an excellent choice for succulent enthusiasts.
