Origin
The Peperomia tetraphylla 'Hope' belongs to the Piperaceae family and originally comes from South America. This plant species often grows in the shadows of bigger trees, in the humid and warm tropical rainforests. The Peperomia genus contains more than 1000 different species, each with their unique characteristics. The 'Hope' variant is one of the more popular choices for houseplant owners.

Characteristics
The Peperomia tetraphylla 'Hope' is known for its small, heart-shaped leaves that have a dark green color. The leaves are thick and fleshy and are characteristic of most Peperomia plant species. The 'Hope' variant can grow up to 30 centimetres tall with a creeping growth form that closely reflects its natural habitat. It is a slow grower that prefers warm conditions.

Care
The care for the Peperomia tetraphylla 'Hope' is generally straightforward. This plant species has a preference for indirect light and can not handle direct sunlight well. The plant is best lightly watered in the spring and summer and almost not at all in the autumn and winter, since it is then in a dormant period.
